Hope you're feeling better Noggs and thank you for the leaf info I'm already raking but the entire field is surrounded by trees, big ones, all unfortunately with a horrendous amount of leaves, and all looking like they'll drop the next time we have a decent wind! In the past Megs and Fling were at their rented grazing until November, which had fewer trees so it wasn't a problem, but now Megs and the ponies are here and my so called friend has kindly sent me some info about sycamores and horses dying, I'm worried. Symptoms include colic which is how I lost Fling, I'm sure it's coincidence, but I'm still a bit wobbly at times and I'm worrying more than I would normally.
Race you down the corridor Meldy! My ponies are probably small enough to come into Shady Pines but a bit small to ride. We'll have to wear roller skates and they can pull us
Noggs do you mind if I pick your brain please? I need a decent leaf Hoover thing! Have several sycamores around my field and the latest scare in the horse world is sycamore poisoning, think it's from the vile seed things, so I need an industrial strength petrol leaf picker upper! The neighbours already think we're nuts so Mr Tubs and I hoovering the field won't surprise them at all! If you have any recommendations that would be brilliant. Decent budget as it's going to get a lot of work and needs to last.
Off to scrub the outside of my trailer as it's for sale as I appear to have ordered a little 'oss box So excited I've been doing hypothetical cartwheels all round the kitchen!
I had you down for Boris's job DL, now that he wants to be an MP Congratulstions on the job you wanted These three months will whizz by if the rest if the year is anything to go by!
(((( Coco )))) I detest the dark mornings etc too, but I'm definitely nowhere near as tired 24/7 since I cut the gluten out. I swear by Airborne to fight my colds which in the past would lay me low for weeks. I discovered it after a long haul flight to Florida and the inevitable cold kicked off. Searching the local chemist for Lemsip or similar and the chemist suggested the Airborne, basically strong vitamins etc to boost your immune system. I bring loads home from Ameruca every time we go and got my last lot off EBay!
Awesome and eventful 20 miles Daffs
I am judging again tomorrow and checking out an 'oss box. I'm not confident driving now, the Landy and trailer aren't the easiest to drive and Mr Tubs would prefer to drive a box. It will double up as a motor home too as there's a fridge and stuff. But it's 7.5 tonne!!!! It's going to look hysterical when two miniature shitlands come down the ramp!
