heee hee yeah im going to take it easy again until i get bored give it a week and i'll have ditched the crutches. pain wise is not to bad at the moment, been hobbling around the house a bit and yeah ive got some cracking pain killers
ive broken it on the same spot and the bits floating around are bits off the old bit of bone which have come off. doc was going to recast it, but a bit of gentle persuassion and we came to an agreement (ish) he will put an air cast support on if i keep the weight of for 6 weeks, finally agreed on 4 (ish) and no running for 8 settled on 6(ish) and i go to physio …… so to recap on the ishes no weight bearing for 1 or 2 weeks and no running for 3 - 4 weeks and see the physio…….. slow and gentle does it
just got to love hospitals staffed by army doctors
glad to see every one doing stuff. toby sorry to hear about the knee i was going well by doing my first ever park run on new years day in just over 28 minutes and getting out 3 times a week training for a 12hr endurance race and a off road 1/2marathon at the end of march
then disater struck
went for a head torch night run through the local woods on friday (13th) night with out incident and on the road section back home i went over and broke the same ankle as in november, currently in a temporary cast until the last lot of x-rays can be compared with the lastes ones to see whether all the bone fragments is off the bone i broke off last time or is it new stuff from my ankle. i will hopefully find out tomorrow (16th) fingers crossed
woo hoo the swelling is going down a treat i can weight bare on the ankle with out wobbling or holding on to anything, still tender to touch or if i walk/stand for to long fingers crossed for a speedy recovery and a better 2012. thanks all
