WEll I made it - 1hr 28 all in. Found the swim horrendous, last out of the water in my wave but given I hadn't practiced not that surprising. Major problems getting the wetsuit off which lost me a couple of minutes - well worth practicing the transitions. Everything else went well, with a good ride - windy weather not withstanding and an average (for me) run. More knackerred than after a 10k run but less so than after a half. Had a great time and enjoyed seeing my lad in the scooterthon. Already planning for my next tri - can see why so many people switch on to it.
Thanks - I've spoken to the organisers - the kids scooterthon is only on the Saturday whereas the super sprint is on each day. This will be my first as well - not looking forward to the swimming which is my weakest but the bike and run should be ok. Dorney lake is a good venue - did a 10k there last year, if a bit boring to run round twice, and can be a bit open if on a windy day.
