Yes - thank you very much Thanet. A very enjoyable race - made far far harder than last year due to the wind.

Found some pictures if anyone is interested. The photographer emailed our club website. If you are interested prints are being sold with some of the proceeds going to charity. Contact email is listed on the site:

Hello All -

I enjoyed the race and noted a couple of photographers on the course.  Has anyone been able to track down where these photos can be viewed?

Of interested sounds like you picked well not doing the Frinton Half.  From what I heard it was not marshalled very well and numerous runners went the wrong way at 12.5 miles - it was some time before they realised the mistake and had to re-trace their steps.

I enjoyed the race - it was a good route and was great fun.

However I agree with Victoria above. It was not the best value for money. I run for a club and we organise our own race. We were quoted under £5 each including printing for the self same t-shirts as we received. I would not mention it but the website and the runners world page clearly say the t-shirt is worth £20. This is simply not true. I don't mind paying a bit extra if I think the money is going to a good cause/charity but I can't see nay mention of that on the website.

Also - I am not sure if my garmin is correct but it clocked the race at 10.25 miles which equates to some 16.5 km, a fair bit out!

I sound like a moaner but I'm not! Honest! Just a couple of things that slightly irked me about an otherwise very enjoyable run.

I certainly enjoyed it and I think I was one of few from an Essex running club. I have mentioned it to many of my club already and hope there will be a far bigger contingent from Tiptree Road Runners next year (and will be if I have anything to do with it).

Thank you again,

Jamie
