Having watched the highlights last night your critcism isn't accurate, there was some coverage/interviews with the field other than top 3. Having ran in the middle of the pack, chatting with others what I enjoyed was watching the front runners as this offered something very different to my experience of the race. Much rather see the elite racing rather than more coverage of the same sort of runners I spent 4 hours with and train with day in day out. Not sure what you mean by the last sentence re. not being Welsh etc. S4C is a Welsh language channel, thus not sure what you were expecting? If watching Paris marathon on Canal+ would you whinge about too much coverage of French runners? I think you've left yourself down with that comment, completely not in the spirit of running or Eryri event. Suggest you follow soccer where you will feel more at home with that sort of jingoistic nonsense. |

Bloody hell thanks for the warning Jason. With excessive fatigue by then I may well have carried on over the wall. PJL - good point....I was just thinking that my checking of the weather for LLanberis is a little pointless as I'm not going to be there for rest of the morning! BBC forecast for Beddgelert Saturday is even better (8 deg and full sun)....but point taken that wind-chill is likely to play a significant factor Been thinking of my estimated finish time.....training gone well (x3 hilly 20 milers but not as severe as SNOD) and numerous 15-17 milers, previous marathon best 3.39 in FLM 2006....Cardiff half 1.44 last w/end at a stroll.....thinking 4hrs to 4.15 - say 4.10 as a compromise. I would go closer to 4 but the last climb out of Waunfawr looms large in my plans |

Thanks John Bach for the info about the showers. \ Very informative and enjoyable reading through the posts, wish I had come across this earlier.....I think organisers should alert entrants to this forum when registering as the quality of the info based on prior experiences is great. If the sun does shine I will feel like I have missed out somewhat.....although I'm pretty sure I'll be glad on the day. |

First time post, first time SNOD on Saturday. Looking forward to it with a mixture of excitement and a slight amount of dread. I couldn't find anything in the email or on website about showering post run. Are there showers? Or is that taken care of by dipping in the lake too? |
