Lyrics: Everybody's lookin' forward to the weekend
What: gentle 5 km Why: keep the legs turning over Last hard: Wednesday Last rest: yesterday
Thanks for the advice LMH and Ale, will go in the 2:15 group. Unfortunately, it's one of those that once you've picked the group, you can't change, but I think it'll stress my legs too much, too close to the race to run in the 2:00 group.
What: rest day Why: dentist. Filling with no anaestheia (I have a bit of a problem with a needle phobia...). Means another 2 appointments booked to fill other little ones that normally would be left alone, so they can all be done with no needles. Bigger problem is I seem to have a sideways wisdom tooth. I'm not sure how I didn't know this, seeing as I've had stacks of xrays done in the past... Last hard: that, it didn't actually hurt, but the suspension was bad enough! Oh and gave my 1st presentation in German today, and only had about 7 mins notice! Last rest: Today I guess Lyrics: nope
10 miles done last night, cross country, felt great I'm doing a test run of a local half marathon on Sunday and need some advice. The pace groups are 1:45, 2:00 or 2:15. I have a "real" half on a different course 2 weeks later with an aim of 1:50. Should I therefore run this one (with 10km extra for the marathon training) at 2:00 or 2:15 pace? Advice please
Yesterday's lyrics: Swedish House Mafia - don't you worry child
What: 10 miles tonight Why: starting hte MLR Last hard: bits of yesterday Last rest: Saturday Lyrics: nope
LMH entered for a half marathon in 2.5 weeks and then going to enter the Hanover Marathon which is at the end of April (well I think I'm going to anyway!). Want to enter this weekend before the price goes up! After that, will concentrate on the shorter distances, then possibly do the local tri in August, all just a rough plan.
Managed the 5km fartlek at lunch plus another 3.5 km this evening. Was going to take it easy, but then sawmy oh drive past (still have the GB sticker on back of far so easy to spot!). As I had the housekey I sped up to make sure he wasn't stuck outside for too long! Hopefully won't feel the effects for tomorrow's MLR.
LMH wow I am jealous!
Chicka well done for those hills.
Don they're probably not missing the trophy now!
Have a good evening all
