What: 8.6 km done this morning before work. Physio later. Drive to Dunkirk even later. Why: need to practise these back to backs. 21km ran over the last 3 days and legs are feeling ok. Last hard: training on the hills! Though I think the 1550 km drive we have ahead of us today and tomorrow isn't going to be easy! Lyrics: nope
Taper mad people, only 2 days to go, you can do it
Will wish all VLMers luck now in case I don't have internet where I'm heading. I'll also wave at all of you as I drive past, except Chick and OH that is...not getting that far north.
Sorry for my absence, I was sulking. Decided on Tuesday (after 4 hours of commuting) that I'd had enough. Had a bit of a paddy. There's now a train strike on, though so I was knackered and it was dangerous for me to drive I had no choice. Told my colleagues I'd be working from home Thursday and Friday as it was dangerous for me to drive (Thurs) and Fri I have physio and would have been WFH anyway. Will reassess options after my week off.
Anyway, training. Tuesday was meant to do 9 km, but after the 2.5 hours it took me to get home, did nothing. Instead yesterday did the 9 km, up that hill I struggle to get up (got up it, no walking breaks ) then this morning another hilly 10 km with another flatter 5 at lunch. 15 km in total for the day. Yoga this evening.
Hope Chick enjoys Budapest, it's a beautiful city. Wabo oh I feel sorry for your friend. OH hope the car problem is fixed soon.
