| Good luck from me to Mark and Rod too. Hope you both have a good one. Would have liked to have been there to join you. I'm over the injuries, and my running is improving but definitely not at HM standard yet. |

Reject mag for me too. Quite pleased actually. I'm not up for another marathon just yet and if accepted would have deferred. Definitely want to do VLM eventually though. Gives me another year to get fitter and faster - 10 min miles is my top pace on anything over a couple of miles at the moment!
Pinks, I did Stratford last year. I enjoyed it but as it was my 1st marathon I have nothing to compare it to. Thought it was very well organised, with enthusiastic, if rather sporadic support around the course. It is a 2 lap course and got very quiet on 2nd lap when the HM crew had finished. Mostly road, and passes through some nice countryside and pretty villages. Before I did it the course profile looked pretty tame, but whilst doing it the course seemed quite undulating in places, and the one big hill really wasn't pleasant! But the downhill was good. Last 5 miles or so are up an old railway line called the Greenway. This did seem unending and rather soul destroying coming as it did at the end of the race- lot of people walking at this stage, and a good few casualties and drop outs at the side of the path. Somebody likened this last part to The Retreat from Moscow!
I'd go for it.

| Think I know what you mean Rod, and apologies if I'm telling you something you already know, but you can customise any of the screens on the Garmin to tell you whatever you want without having to scroll between screens (unless you want to see more than 4 readouts at any one time). Or at least you can on the 305 which I have. |
