I can see from the race stuff that there are different pens with different colours including blue and green.  My race number is a turquoisy colour, sort of pale blue-green.  Does anyone know what colour it is re pens?

I went to buy RW the other day to read while my son was swimming.  At £4.50 it was so thin that I just felt it couldn't be justified.  I bought a paper instead.

Five or ten years ago RW would have been the main place to find out about races but now the races pages are not far enough ahead and often advertises races that are already sold out.

There are some interesting articles such as that one about the desert ultra a few months ago - hardly aimed at over-weight beginners, but there are too many "run your first half" articles as well.

I can't justify the cost anymore and all the info is available free elsewhere.

Hi ya I've just run this today 2011 and I measured the race to be 6.32m.

Did anyone else find it to be long?

I am sure that the start was about 100 m further down the course last year and the last bit after my garmin bleeped 6M (the 6m marker was at 5.97M) seemed to go on for ever?

 Any thoughs?

Hi I have entered this because it is part of our club's road race championship - not sure why Holmfirth should support Thirsk but hey-ho.  I can't seem to find any info anywhere.  The race website is still out of date. It looks as if over 1000 runners did it last year which is a huge race yet you have to collect race numbers on the day???

Does anyone know is it flat or hilly?  Good race, or what?

If anyone is not running now I would be happy to buy their race no off them.
