None of my plans have come to anything and following a visit to the quack last night this year will be a write off. For some time I had been feeling aches and soreness following exercise whether delivery qat work or training. Eventually saw the quack and have now been diagnosed with a hernia. WL hough not life threatening I have been advised to have an operation given my job and hobbies but was told to lay off the running until after it has been sorted as it could make things substantially worse.
So thelong and the short of it is no Wokingham (MV40 place up for grabs) and a deferred VLM.
I shall continue to lurk on and off and jump back in once sorted.
LMH at the moment I'm just planning on sightseeing this year at VLM and maybe a bit of fundraising on the side. Though given my track record might be hard to convince people to part with cash for something already achieved.
Joe 100m weeks sounds a bit serious, what are your targets this year? Also go gently on the ankle don't rush back into things.
Emz sounds like you got by our race pretty much spot on judging by your targets.
As for me, things are still pretty full on work wise but I have a plan to train to. Almost bailed today with the freezing fog when I got up. Instead I made use of the dead time whilst pp no2 was at his French lesson by running out and back for an hour. Clocked slightly over 8 miles with a few sub7's mixed in. Nice to see that there's life in the old legs still! Downside is that I have gained about 5lb since the summer.
Following a mental few weeks at work thought I should pick up the old shoes again. Still planning to run again in London but probably nowhere near my form of a year ago. I have Wokingham in about 6 weeks as a pre London yard stick to look forward to as well.
Not really kept up with things so hello to all the relatively newer DTTers.
Nice to see Gobi back on his feet again
How's the shoulder LMH?
Birks guess you've been as busy as I have at Glasgow MC.
