Seems like I fell off the training bus and have spent all August waiting for the next one to come along. A combination of new job at work, school holidays, broken Garmin and general miss placing of mojo led to a pitiful 40ish miles for August. I have now managed to replace my Garmin through eBay, the kids have gone back, work is setting a new routine for itself (evening runs instead of morning runs) and my number for Nottingham arrived this morning is hopefully getting me back on track if only I could shake if this cold!
The plan now is to use Nottingham as a training run and then see what's left for the Abingdon social 3 weeks later.
Tmoth run your own pace and crack him with the long game.
Last nights TT final was a bit of a dogs dinner. Took a wrong turn, managed to regain my position only to cripple my self with lactic acid in the process to fall behind further than before. Ended up clocking virtually the same time as last months giving me 32nd place.
Sounds like you had fun Paddy, good to hear from you again
Woke up still feeling rotten though things change improved through the day. Was sort of hoping to squeeze a jog in after work but a latecfinish put paid to that. Tomorrow is the clubs 4M handicap TT final which I hope to make irrespective of form.
Still enjoying the new job Ale, though I am back in my parent office for two weeks which is as bit awkward. Asking people weho haves been colleagues for the last 15 years to do tasks they don't want to do can be a bit contentious but I supposee it's all part of the upgrade.
