Slowly building the engine based around a possible Spring Marathon attempt. The idea is to explore the practicalities of marathon trading ahead of a GFA attempt in the Autumn or spring 2018.

Based on your 10k time mp should be about 8mpm. Therefore for the first 4 weeks you should aim to run at between 9 to 9:30 mpm.
This will build your aerobic engine ready for the introduction of speedwork from week 5. During this time look to increase your long run .
Your half in Feb is a good idea and will give a good indication of where you are training wise.
