A but late I know but just have to second the "Runners Needs" comments. I shop at their store near Liverpool St and they know their stuff.

I have used various versions of Asics Cumulus and these have been OK up to half-marathon. I tried the new Nimbus recently and found that they did were not cushioned aorund the heel enough for me.

So instead, I bought a pair of New Balance 1061s and these have great cushioning. I also have my eyes on the Saucony Triumph 4 - a very short run in these was enough to tempt me.

But then we are all different........

I ran last year too. Great course. Am back again for 2007. Got rejected from London too - like everyone else by the sounds of it.

I am working in South Korea for a few months so just phoned home to see if anything arrived....it had, a "sorry but no..." .....place bequeathed...maybe that is the problem.
