Morning all. Hope you're enjoying your weekends. Went to parkrun yesterday - chose a course where I'm not known so I didn't have to talk to anyone. Managed 29.14 and was probably hampered by the 3 glasses of wine I'd had on Friday night. Felt good just to go and run - some much needed headspace. The funeral arrangements will all be made tomorrow. My training for BUPA 10k very much took the backseat with all this going on so I know I'm going to bomb out. My longest run has been 4.8 miles and that was last Saturday - there could be a lot of walking.
Stick with it Sinbad - I'm going out today to look at the shelves in the supermarket to see what soft drinks they have. I don't do my drinking in pubs - I drink at home.

Just a quick post from me guys. At hospital most nights until 10 and working too so completely knackered. Managed to get out for a short run on Tuesday (2.5 miles) but any hopes of sticking to my 10k training plan have been well and truly shot to pieces. Had appointment with doctor yesterday and he wouldn't refer me for mri - said to wait 8 weeks but during that time to work on my core and quads to strengthen the quads. He examined the ligaments and couldn't find anything wrong with them. Must admit that it hasn't been sore since Monday so maybe something clicked back into place.
