Hi everyone I haven't been on in a while. I have been trying to race my way back to fitness. I have done the Acorns 5K, Run 'n the Bann 5K and Laganside 10K along with the parkrun on a Saturday morning. I'm happy with my progress but would like more. I'm now back up to 10 miles on a Sunday morning so will continue this and see how it goes.
Some good running there folks. I agree you need something to focus your training on.
I had a good run last night in Cloughmills. the course was a bit long at 3.5 miles. It was a bit undulating so I was happy with my time. I am getting the speed back now just have to work in upping the distance.
Sorry to hear about your knee Leslie I hope you get it sorted soon.
I'm getting back into my running although not 100% recovered from my accident. I have been doing the Portrush parkrun the last three weeks and got a PB on Saturday as I edged closer to breaking the 30 minutes on the beach. I am now up to six miles on a Sunday.
I'm off to Cloughmills tonight for a 5K fun run. Then I'm the race referee at the Nissan 5 Mile Classic tomorrow night. It should be a good night with over 180 pre entries.
My target id the Acorns 5K at the end of August and try and get a good time.
Martin good luck with the Quadrathlon one of those half was in my plan for the year until I got knocked off the bike. Maybe next year.
I hope to see you round the Causeway Coast as I'll be part of the Springwell Support crew.
