Apart from the distance thing, and that is a big 'apart', I actually thought the race was quite well organised and very enjoyable. I could list lots of positives and didn't notice / mind a lot of the things noted by ChapelChap.
I would like to know what happened distance wise. I have a suspicion but want to hear from the organisers. I did email them but haven't seen a reply.
Had a look at the route map on the website and also my garmin track. We missed a whole triangle bit around mile 10! Cut left too early. Presumably this was where the marshals pointed us - I don't really recall, just follow the runners in front. Also, as you say, end should have been along road. Maybe problem with cars leaving?
Very disappointing as was running well for me. Not a pb, but would have been a good time. Do I do it again? There aren't that many road runs around here...
I am planning on running this for the first time this year. Have only done London before so am not quite sure what to expect. Moved up from Berkshire to Shropshire last year and this seems to be a good 'local' road race. Plus I can train in the summer rather than the winter.
Really looking forward to it. I'm not fast - I need to do a lot of training just to get round. Anyone from Church Stretton way taking part?
