Hello all! Just had a quick check in; I got my London magazine in so must defer that.
Everyone else keep up the great training you lucky folks.
I'm not running but I am training - on the bike. Have entered a road race and a sportive just to keep me going.
I have an appointment to get the ankle checked out as that's 6 months now.
The Portugal holiday was the best ever as I took the bike and enjoyed it much more than the times I've been running (!) but that was mainly down to whole days out, hundreds of miles and custard pies!
Stay safe and injury free all and I'll be checking in after the spring marathons,
NN good to see you taking a rest day, I take every Friday off and love it. MG1 sounds like a much needed rest day too.
Stuart that sounds like a brutal session! Dont think I could ever run that fast
OH good to hear nice and mild with you especially if you are planning to get back into the sea - brrr!
Gaz I hope it was dehydration and that you still feel ok.
Teknik good luck! Hope the weather is good. You will fly round
NP are you parkrunning tomorrow too?
Stewart it will be great to get your son home
Felt a lot better last night thanks although that was my second day without chocolate so still not 100%!! Did 10.5 miles with a few threshold efforts at the end. Not easy gauging pace when so dark and can't see the garmin - roll on the light nights!! Rest day today.
Stuart I've doen GNR twice. Second time I was int he front pen and it was fine at the start - the usual folk barging past like rockets that you then trot past afte a mile or so!
Well done on the double day MG1.
Great MP run again Teknik. Nice to see things keep improving.
OH that sounds like a nice run.
NP another good double day and nice recovery run.
Gaz good that you can juggle things around to get the running in.
Intervals for me last night didn't go so great. Meant to be 6 and only did 3 and had to stop and jog back to the car. Was really dizzy at the start of the week so must be that. Will get out tonight for a few miles.
Well done on goal pace runing in the morning MG1. My legs are extra slow in the morning! I cycle twice a week and really enjoy it as so sociable but still run about 7 times a week.
OH good to see the legs have recovered from Sunday. The guys in the cycle club are great but they do know it would be an hour or so if I had to change a tube!!
Very speedy NN, that will definitely have the desired effect on the half time as you already have bags of endurance.
Great turbo NP nice double day too! Dogs are lovely when they decide that they want some extra perfume.
Teknik nice MLR. A bit chilly here this morning but think it is set to warm up!
Sundown and Gaz more good running by you.
Nice LT session Stewart. That canal is like a wind tunnel so that is a quality run. Great news about your son, he will be looking forward to getting home!
A run in the woods for me yesterday morning then had the chance to get out on the bike along Loch Ness side in the evening so 4 * 10 minutes pushing the big ring before doing a hill fast and getting a QOM on Strava! Think I passed a JS group at the bottom of the hill next to Dores Road roundabout - were you there Stewart? Recovery 45 minutes in the trainers this morning.
Nice combo of recovery and strides Teknik.
NN enjoy the track. The cycle was 3:47 but that included a puncture, waiting at the top of hills and regrouping a couple of times.
Well done on the 18 Stuart.
An easy 45 mins recovery run for me.
