That shirt was red... salmon at worst!

Yep I've actually got a photo of the back of your head from Walton Hall Park and a blurred recollection from the Fly In The Loaf! All going well here - training for Annecy Marathon, was nosing on the sub 3 thread but was all too serious on there! Have you become a southerner or are these just place names I don't recognise?

There where no smilies last time I was on here when did they arrive?

Ah the mighty Fat Face! I just stumbled onto here for the first time in years, looking for a bit of inspiration and I stumble across this - your very own thread and not before time too! You can be an inspiration to a whole new generation of runners now.

Sounds like you're going great anyway, keep up the good work - sub 4 will be easy for a man of your callibre!

There are plenty of races in the Warrington area - Bowden & Lymm 5ks are part of a whole series, Warrington Road Runners 10k, Whitley 10k, Burtonwood 5 miler. I bet they all cost under a tenner too.

You just need to know where to look. Check out the websites of local clubs, Spectrum Striders is a good place to start.

No problem - I was going to bin mine until I tried all that - I have huge heel spurs and the lacing made the biggest difference. There's a guide on the website somewhere. I just used the tradiitional method and didn't lace the top eyehole! Steaming the heel cup moulds them too, think thats omn the website, if not fellrunner forums are the way to go. Good job because they're really good shoes!

The newer ones seem to come with more comfort and stabilty and a generally higher heel.
