I think that anything is easier than running a 3:30 marathon, thats firmly in the impossible for me!

Well done on your pb mm,  you must be a very good friend to run a marathon to say hello, I would def go for the coffee option.  Am hoping to smash mine at london (I think the lack of hills will help no end), am aiming for 4:30.  Half times are suggesting that it should be possible with a push.  Am wanting to really go for it for dh (I think you met him at the start of windermere?) as he has recently passed away.  I want to make him proud as I'm sure he'll be keeping an eye.  Also, running with my two lanky b-i-l, I don't want to be the slow girly at the back!

Hi MM!

Wow, so you have kept up with the maratons!  Have been v laxy and hardly run since last windermere.  Have luckily got a place in FLM to set my sights on so am currently trying to pull my finger out for that. Am running for British Heart Foundation for my dh, will be a toughy, but will have my two b-i-l with me which will be great.  But I reckon, when thats done, windermere and edinburgh look good.  Just trying to pursuade people to run them too so I'm not on my lonesome.

P.S. def on for cake and beer, not hot dogs, urgh!

Ohh,  pleased to see the thread up for this already!  Did it in 07 and really enjoyed, so think I shall  have another bash in 09, such a great run!   Already doing FLM next year for my dh, so windermere a little while after seems perfect.  Shall get my entry form in.

Remember meeting Marathon Maiden at the start too - are you around this thread somewhere?

I get people shouting too, can't work out why, but at least I know I'm not on my own.  Even get it when I'm walking into work.  I never feel the need when I'm driving and pass a pedestrian, what posesses them?!  Have never given the finger, though I would love to, as I'm a dead slow runner and worry that they would come after me (yes I'm soft!).  Can pretty much never work out what they are saying, so it really isn't worth their while!!

Yikes Shades, bet you didn't need that at all!  Taxis seem like hens teeth up there!

Hi MM!!  Yup, am def up for windermere next year.  Wanted a year off this year, but looking forward to next year already!  Have Leeds half and leicester mara in my sights before then, was tempted by talk of a slighty flatter mara!!  Do you have anything planned? (P.S. by inspiration, I am assuming you mean for winderemere mara, not the 10 in 10!!). Hope all is well with you!
