Top work Dids! That's a massive improvement for a 5k!

Baz - left at 5:15 which got me there in plenty of time. Not a problem for me as I work from home and live on the right side of Manchester for heading straight over the hill to Oxspring would be tricky if I had to come from town though. If any of your 4o'clock finishes coincide with a Trunce then we should arrange something. If you could get the train out to Mossley (or tram to Oldham) I could pick you up and give you a lift over.

Nice write up Giro

Two things I picked up on... a) you don't seem to have thought very much of the Blackpool marathon experience itself i.e. the organisation, support, marshalls etc? And b) it was a cracking effort and a great time.

Morning folks.

Looking forward to the race report Giro, well done again on a fantastic effort!

Busy couple of days running for me...

First up Oldham Parkrun on Saturday, no pb but not bad, would like to come and do a fast parkrun someday to see where I'm at. Then Sat afternoon it was a club social run for the 70th birthday of one of our members followed by drinks, food and the grand national in the pub afterwards... my biggest success of the weekend, winning the club sweepstake!

Then last night was my first Trunce in 3 years and it was great to be back! Optimistically went wearing just the club vest and shorts but stepping out the car I realised it was absolutely baltic!! After reconsidering my wardrobe I was ready to go. The race is just as I remember it, fast and furious due to it being very runnable and great fun! Finished about a minute off my pb but I was happy with my run, wasn't expecting to get a PB. Ruth and another clubmate came over for their first crack at the trunce as well and a goodtime was had by all, I think!

Best of all was bumping into so many familar faces and catching up with Sheils and Chris in the pub afterwards. The whole evening was a great blast from the past!

Good to see some of the smileys out and running well as well!

Morning all.

I'm gonna go for 3:02:18 Giro, don't really want to win this one though as would really like you to bag a sub 3!

Good long weekend everyone? Any running adventures to report?

Had my folks down for Easter so didn't manage to fit a long run in (maybe try and do one tomorrow) but did manage a few runs with my Dad and Ruth. We did Oldham Park Run on Saturday and then a nice off road run yesterday. No PB at Oldham but then wasn't expecting it, need to sharpen up a bit at the minute.

Still planning on coming over for the Trunce next week so looking forward to hopefully seeing a few of you there
