Hi, popped in for  a quick lurk (my family think I am working on my research project ...shh...) hello to you all, det, good to hear you are  back in your running shoes. I had a quick run this am during the only rain storm of the day. short, slow but it got me out for a few minutes 'being a runner'. Now the sun is setting  over the dwindling flood waters and it is really gorgeous. hope some of you are out there enjoying it.

Hi all,

Louise that was a great half mara time, like the others I hope the dog is ok.

and Lisa, thoughts to you and yours too.

talk of 10k times reminds me that mid half marathon as we were running past the 10k mark, my running pal looked at his watch and said "what did you say was your 10k time?" with a big grin, I (assuming marker post and clock correct) had just beaten it by 2mins. I know it isn't an official time but the timing was good if you know what I mean.

I've been for a short run but am going to focus on more family friendly exercise and distances (ie no more disappearing all morning on LSR's, more muddy walks and taking the kids swimming).

enjoyed the report Louise, well done. Funny things knees  mine hurt before but not during the HM! and the HM seems to have cured it . Glad it went well

feeling a lot better today, moving normally again and can get in and out of the car without looking like someone who just had a hip replacement....

Sam, would definitely recommend Brum as a half to do if you are planning one. Cardiff is flatter but the music on the way round more than made up for the hills.

Brenda, HM4 and Louise, hope you all better or nearly better.

Take care all, it is flu season and norovirus season   soap is your friend....
