Pre -race routine open jar of vaseline. start with toes & feet, arm pits (just where the club vest rubs & then nipples. copius amounts. Not normally an issue then. |

I go with the pinch, squeeze & a quick flick method. Works with gloves on as well. Have heard its a good anti drafter defence. Someone sat on your wheel whilst racing. A quick flick over the shoulder, they wont be sitting there long . Hasten to add never used it myself, no-one bothers to sit on my wheel! |

Congratualtions to all the Pirates for racing in pretty horrendous conditions and fantastic performances. Great to meet you BrokeButTri'ing. Haven't talked to Pebble for quite a while so had a quick chat with him poolside between race briefs. Thanks also to Pingu for her help on the swim (Good luck next week end - hammer it!) Do I mention navigation Seren? But see you can crack this swim thing, its a good job we had lane ropes or who knows which direction you'd have swum. Great write up DimTim, yes I know the legs hurt, but it wasn't so bad was it? You cracked it though thats the important bit. Big step forward on your journey. Bleanafon number 30 done and almost completed. Will there be a number 31? who knows we'll see how issues develope over the next few months. Cardiff Tri Club are certainly interested in keeping the race, as you could see by the numbers they had at this years race, so support from within NEWT & from several sources outside. |

Just Seren playing at Pontypool in the morning I think. 30th & posiibly final edition of the UKs oldest continually held triathlon, is loaded in the car & is ready to roll. Good luck Seren, get that pesky swim thing out the way & then its pure fun all the way. See you in the morning. |

A couple of NEWT members will be riding the bike course on Sunday , 28 April. They are meeting at the Leisure centre at 8:30. Both just want to try out the hills, dont expect a fast ride, but if you want to press ahead they wont be too bothered. Open invitation. |
