I'm ready for the taper madness. Last long sessions for me this weekend / next week and then planned recovery, massage, short low impact sessions (no track or coached swim sessions) and as much rest as I can get.
Did a 5k Swim this week, 3 over 4k swims for the season
120 mile bike done which totals 4 over 100 rides for the season, not as many as for Wales last year but hey ho.
two over 20 mile runs. with runs being 1 mile increases to that point, runnings been going well. Doing track sessions again this year has hopefully improved some speed.
Only brick sessions compelted this year are ones where I have ran or cycles to the pool or lake, and one race so the first mile or so on the run may be intersting
Time to start looking at long term forecasts (read panicking about heat and wind), writting kit lists 5 times over, bike servicing, previous race notes etc.
