Like the CP10. Like others have said, it's a decent course and good value for money. It always seemed like it was sticking a finger up at the big BUPA races by 'keeping it real'.
The only bit that annoyed me was on the wide road at 5/6 miles (opposite Ham Lands) I stuck to the middle of the road and loads took the right hand pavement, taking a good bit out of the course, as it bends to the right. The blighters
I am in need of new running shoes. I just almost had a rush of blood to the head and nearly ordered Adizero Adios Boosts. Fortunately, my calmer head prevailed, and I shall first ask whether anyone is running in them at the moment and how they're getting on.
Registered for Berlin - going to buy some of them if I get in. Not sure if it will get me sub 2.04 though!! Very good reviews
Good running out there - shame I never leave myself enough time to go through all of the posts! Big suprise on saturday - managed to get a nice shiny silver South of England medal at the XC relays with Herne Hill.
We didn't see it coming and being honest there were alot of clubs who didn't bother - but that won't go down on the record books . Did 15.21, but felt similar to last years 14.57 when the distance was about 2.8 miles - the course was a bit longer this year, but doubt (very much) it was 5k!
If headphones genuinely endanger others why do race organisers allow folk to wear them and start in them? Try cycling in a an organised race without a helmet. You just won't get past the start line. Try failing to meet the mimimum time for a stretch on a sportive, you'll get put in the broom wagon. How come running can't do same?
If they don't endanger but inconvenience then surely it has to be a case of live and let live?
First paragraph - oh I wish! Just because it's 'all encompassing' the somehow it's OK in running, as compared to other sports. Thats the age old problem of 'your sport' being a natrual human pastime and one thats very popular.
It's when the 'general public' get involved that the problems start. I'm sure Tri organisers have seen a steady increase in rule benders over the last few years..
