Too bloody dangerous - you should see the poor souls cycling along Euston road with assorted Lorries and buses up their behind.
I went on that comment thread on the BBC site. Usual bully boy drivers on there..
Good luck with it..look at it as an introduction to running without the headphones - i'm sure it won't be as bad as you thought.

Ugh. Flat course, but just got blown around once too many times! Not enough toilets too. Last time I realised i'm not a 'big events' person
Funny old sport of ours isn't it. The only sport where people actually voluntarily do it, but seemingly don't really like it that much and need something to help them through it, like music.
Fair enough, I train with music if I run on my own, but racing without it is just one of those things you have to get used to.
