You HAVE MADE THE CORRECT DECISION 1000% It is an amazing piece of kit , fits much better , does all the necessary things the 305 does, I haven't found something I used on my 305 or 301 yet. I do workouts on 405 fine as well. GTC works firn , Connect a bit slow but GTC is a good base setup. I also dont use mine except for training (well I dont wera any watch actually!)

Enjoy your 405!

Ah yes I was up at 3am... MAd insomniac I think!  Must say having data for about three years on HR speed etc is very useful especially to see one's progression over time on similar courses wher HR is now lower despite faster pace. Wish I had all this data when I was much younger and fitter!

Had a 301 then numerous 305's (lots of replacements due to fading sound problems) , used 405 for three runs now. Once all software and watch sorted it works well. Screen size a bit smaller than 305 which takes a bit of getting used to, otherwise an awesome piece of kit. A lot more comfortable on the wrist than tbe 301 and 305.

Had 305 for a year or so, now upgraded to 405. Screen size takes a bit getting used to when using three items per screenshot...otherwise AWESOME unit. Hopefully it won't loose the sound as my 305's did.
