24 miles on my road bike today; tapering for Wales Trail marathon on Saturday.

Race was an immense success, some pics on FB and huge thanks to the Voles for rocking up to support. Well over 100 runners and a 9 year old son with terrible DOMs today having done a sub 30.

Quick hello to all- the swimming talk is fascinating and come the summer......

Meanwhile bike obsession prevails despite a quick trip to A&E yesterday with a ?stress fracture (not- phew). So bike shoes purchased today, clippy pedals fitted and me and bike fitted for each other, Not cheap but a great esperience and I cycled home successfully. Loving it, especially with the warm running and trying a bikeparkrunbike session tomorrow.

Also been puppy sitting.......... and trying to get to grips with Running Job and not enough hours in the day.....see you all soon. FE in wales far too soon!

Good Luck Debsel and TR.

I am being dragged over to the dark side. Just got my new road bike, it is awesome, have it on trial, safe to say, she's not getting it back. What an amazing experience.  No comparison to a MTB.  Did 13.5 miles yesterday, it's so quick.

Anyway plan for tomorrow is a very early bike ride and then a run, time to crank out the camelbak.

Next swimming lessons... So all the swim advice here, good stuff.

Well done on the first parkrun Jess and good luck with the move SS and thanks FE for the comment on the bike pic and good luck with the lessons.

Hi All

Great running going on, sorry been busy with meetings (it's the peak season) and trying to get head into new job .

And local Jubilee plans, and school appeals and my 5K......

Struggling with running and heat (crop top and shorts time) but did a lovely 7.5m off road this morning and YAY, finally got my new bike on trial, it's a fab Specialized carbon fibre lightweight racer, after 15 years on a MTB it was a realy eye opener to try it this morning, Haven't fallen off yet but with the pedal clips it's inevtable soon. Hoping to join some other forumites at 6am on Sunday morning who are doing a Bristol to London via my Village...

Looks like Fairy Elephant and I will be swept up together at Wales trail mara as I  can't be doing with long runs at the moment.

Voley- thanks for the swimming tips..IM for you next.

Susiebe- I love a good Stalk....I am expert.

Jess- band sound fun.

Hot news was I met WTmel and Mrs mel and their friend for coke and cakes on a sunny afternoon as they walked along the river. Lovely, and doing really well.

Waves to everyone else..... need to go bake some fairy cakes for a charity tea tomorrow.
