Just a quick note from FeFe's sister, obviously superbly Well Done to him but to all you Pirates! You are all phenomenal, you all need an awesome congratulationary whatever tickles your fancies! So in awe and proud I could burst. GO ON YOU PIRATES!
I live near Silverstone but after five uninspiring completions of the Half on the track i would like any recommendations for events within a forty mile radius around the same time of year please? Can`t find anything in the events section of this forum.
I enjoyed a spa day with my bestie yesterday. She did a 90 minute yoga class so I used the luxury treadmill in the luxury gym and pounded springily my usual 8 mile LSR. Thoroughly enjoyed having a fan blowing in my face and TV screen to view albeit silent, dead happy I didn't have to forgo my LSR so just plodded on.
I knew something was different the minute I climbed off. My hip felt funny and I was struggling to walk! I have been running eight miles as my tick over distance whilst trip training over the summer so it's not too far to extend to an October half. I enjoyed the treadmill run so much I was pondering on investing in one. But if it makes me ache so I won't!
Any ideas why I am so uncomfortable today? Is my running style likely to be different on a treadmill? I ran at my usual slow ponderous pace. Am intrigued. If anyone can shed any light on why I would be very grateful. Thanks. X
M'Eldy you must be near me! I work near Milton Keynes and commute on A5 or A43 or roads through Buckingham. I have not cycled on A5 but have seen people do so on the stretch nearer my end, Towcester way. A43 is maybe not so busy....
