Eggy I didn't praise any vile system. Outside of the fluffy nanny state is a real world. If people don't work they don't make money and they don't eat, simple.
not everyone here works in construction or hardship. A taxi driver here will earn about£700 a month, a fortune to him, in Bangladesh he will earn £50 a month. he sends the majority of his money home and educates his kids so they can have better opportunities.
we have a maid and a gardener, we don't exploit them and pay them well allowing them in turn to support their families.
if you've never experienced an expatriate lifestyle this is maybe a bit hard to understand.
i have also spent a lot of time in Iraq and am embarrassed at the mess Britain have left that country in.
