To keep warm you could just wear another layer under the tights - if it's arctic I'll wear Y-fronts plus close fitting boxers then running tights. Definitely no shorts over tights. Lycra shorts under baggy shorts is just about acceptable IMHO, if the baggy shorts are too short! |

Having made my marathon debut over the weekend, I'm now pretty sore, especially my quads. I went for a gentle jog and stretched yesterday but that hasn't really helped. Does anyone have any advice on marathon recovery, what training I should/shouldn't be doing, and how long I should leave it before racing again? |

The thinnest ones I know are Hilly Mono Skin Lites. See here: http://www.runnersneed.com/hilly%20mono%20skin%20lite%20anklet/socks/running-specialists/fcp-product/1047 |

Your best moment (apart from the finish) - Probably going through 20M and realising I was still ahead of schedule Your worst moment - The last two miles, my quads had given up and my feet were burning What surprised you most about the day - The sheer number of people involved, from marshals to spectators to the tube companies. Your most memorable moment - Finishing! What your goal was, and how your finishing time compared. My goal was an optimistic 2:50, I surprised myself with 2:46. And of course, how you celebrated! Ate the food in the goody bag, had a shower, got more food and rushed back to university! |

Thanks for the big cheer, guys - I spotted your station but wasn't expecting quite so much noise! |
