I'm with Mathschick - I've only got to hear the first bar or so of 'Come on Eileen' before I fly into a rage.

I hate 'I Will Survive' and that awful Whitney Houston song too, but not as much as that horrible, horrible, horrible 'Come on Eileen'.

The deep puddles were on the parts of the course that were away from the reservoir - I particularly recall a sloping path with some steps next to a paddock which was very unpleasant.  Also, the bridge over the weir was quite badly flooded too, although obviously less slippery as it is concrete.  It's a little way off yet, so there is still time for the route to dry out, but I wouldn't count on it.

Oh yes, last year it was a complete mudfest and there were mid-calf deep puddles.

Personally I think Woman's Hour should be put out of its misery.  Along with some of the so-called comedies in the 11.30 a.m. slot.

I had always suspected the Personal Trainers in our Gym knew nothing about running.  This was confirmed when one of them, in response to me saying I was heading out for a 14-mile run, said 'How long will that take?  About an hour?'.  AND HE WASN'T HAVING A LAUGH WITH ME!!!!
