Did a 10k race yesterday at Richmond which was 'interesting'. Far too hot to start off with, missing my running buddy and found it really hard work after the London stuff. Time to either take some time off I think OR to get really back into training to make a difference. Still got a PB though but only 2 minutes faster than November but that was way cooler so I am still justifying it to myself.
Running buddy is doing Edinburgh this morning but there's no way of tracking her which is irritating; still otherwise all good.
It's Friday and I still haven't entered the ballot so I will stay married....
Been out for a couple of runs though of a maximum of 4 miles which I really enjoyed although I found it hard getting out there. I was using Hal Higdon's app which was great because I could just open it and go but I'm struggling finding a 10k get faster plan on an app with post marathon recovery time so I've found Hal's recovery plan and I'm using that at the moment...
Love hearing all your stories; well done everyone for getting up there and getting running again.
So a very strange week! The highs of Sunday and Monday followed by a real low on Thursday and Friday and apparently post marathon blues is a real thing!
About to go out for my first fun since last Sunday - hope I can still remember how to! I've booked a 10k at the end of May and given my speed (!) I think I'm now going to focus on getting a bit faster at distances like the 10k and the half which I really started to enjoy.
I loved my marathon and it was amazingly moving. I didn't tell you about the fact I couldn't breathe after it but managed to down some very cold beer later... I'm still hanging around this thread though even though I'm not doing one again.
