Always keen to put things right expecially on timings, I have just checked results Mark, Our UKA timekeeper got exactly the same time as you did 43.51 (so must be correct), you have 2 runners within 5 second before you and 2 runners within seconds after you. Are these the 5 people you are referring too as finishing close to you? Also I noticed we did not publish any results until last night a good 24 hours after you posted your comments.
Appreciate any feedback,. safety pins were an issue we had a box of 750 which ran out, obviously 230 runners all needed 4 pins on the night. I usually take my own just in case.
Pricing of race was thought through carfully preentries were at £10 for club runners. We were charged £4 a burger for each competitor by the pub, we spent £680 on prizes and catered for 2 bottles of water per runner and a mars bar. uka have to be paid based on runner. Obviously the man time for Marshalls and countless hours of organising an event getting licences were not charged as they are all volunteers giving up thier time so people can take part.
I would like to thank all the runners who emailed me and thanked us for a well organised event, I will try and order a little cooler weather next year. It was assessed by a uka assesor and I look forward to reading his findings.
Perhaps it wasn't to all runners tastes but thanks for running.
