Haven't posted for ages but thought I needed a bit of motivation so here I am!! Determined to get my head in the right place to run Paris this year.
HeatherS - sounds horrible hope that you feel better soon.. tons of time before Paris so give yourself some time to recover.
Re Garmin and tunnels - I am sure that there is some setting that sorts that out - is Princess Fi or Tricky out there I am sure they told me how to set mine so it didn't make a difference to the end time shown as you crossed the line.
Yeah go on Emmy you know you want to do Amsterdam again go girl go Any tips on good hotels etc Eggy/Emmy would be very welcome need to find the Amsterdam thread too... Mr NGUG who normally moans re the cost of travelling to marathons was over the moon ... I might have been a bit difficult to live with over the last few months
Heroine in H - totally agree re weight loss that is high on my agenda for my next marathon. Goal setting is very important IMO.
LeggyM - I find it much more difficult to lose weight as well as I am getting older I dont know if its losing focus and eating that stray cream cake or what..
Well done to everyone at the weekend - outstanding running there and OO just amazing stuff.. another Sunday glued to the telly..havent posted for a while am just about right now after hip problems arising in November.. started running again although after having left it a while it is proving more difficult than I thought.. my legs seem to believe they can go faster than I can actually keep up with..
Have booked myself up for a couple of races to inspire me.. Amsterdam Marathon on 19th October and Richmond half on 21st September. Giving myself a bit of time getting "back to normal"..
+1 for listening to music a weird mixture of Pink Floyd, Elvis Costello, The Cure plus a mixture of more modern stuff that the kids have downloaded and like Shrillex (Mr NGUG slightly incredulous that I listen to "that" music) etc. etc.
Still not sure about P & D myself - might try it again this year it is quite intense PC is right.
ATM - that sounds interesting have to look at Audacity.. .
