Well that is last training run done for a month - only got BUPA London 10K on Monday and then a months rest - for once I am really looking forward to it and think I will go the whole month without running - lots of walking and leg strength exercises.

Morning everyone - sat in Costa (not my favourite but only coffee shop near) waiting for my car to be serviced. Using time to catch up on posts and do some work!! Speed work for me tonight and rest of week in prep for BUPA London 10K next Monday. Avter that 4 weeks with little if no running just lonwholly walks with OH - then back to it on July for Yorkshire Marathon in October

Going to uschedule training schedule as Manchester this year except going to run a lot of my runs up to and along Pilgrims Way to build more leg strength up. Mainly did flat route training for Manchester but want to get more leg strength for York to allow for  a Slightly quicker sustained spell - managed first 23 miles at Manchester at constant pace of 8:38 mins/mile at Manchester want to improve that to 8:34 to go sub 3:45. Ultimate aim in next 4 years is to get sub 3:40 to hit qualifying time for Boston for my age category.

Rachael if you stay out Durham side you would just be as easy to drive to Heworth Metro (Big Car Park) and get Metro in from there as would be easy to get back there afterwards from finish at South Shields
