Ghost 5s are good neutral cushioned shoes, I had the 4s as well and never had any hint of knee pain since using them so would definitely recommend them. Quite light too.
Leisa- I found Pfitzinger's plans a bit complicated so switched to Hal Higdon's Advanced 1 training plan which I really liked. I dont consider myself an advanced runner at all but the plan has a nice variety of runs to stop it getting too boring. Used Mike Grattons sub 4 hr plan before that and that's good too. I've just ordered Richard Nerurkar's book so might give that a go for London.
Thmb2000 - you might be in my finish photo! The finish line seemed to take ages to get any closer, felt like I was running in mud the legs just didn't want to go any faster.
Well done everyone again, and thanks to everyone for their advice on this forum. Really has helped.
Wow some awesome times done today, well done everybody!
I have a shiny new PB of 3hrs 41mins 25secs, the last 3 miles destroyed me and my pace dropped right off but so pleased with the time. Couldn't get rid of an annoying stitch either, have never had that before.
