Looking forward to your report Blakester as that distance and time sounds like the real thing! what was your strategy and did it work (clearly it did, with a cracking effort!)
BTW Runnin Man sounds like you had an 'enjoyable time' too? Well done.
Did you all run with the ruck sack and camelbak this weekend?
Catching up here after 2 weeks of jury service; 10.00 starts meant some 4 mile:half hour tempos and then half hour on the gym bikes and repeated after work each day; what a lovely change. Mixed in with some 8 mile ruck sack runs, introducing the buff to stop the pack chafing my neck!
I truly hope the niggles and injuries mentioned fall away and leave you all with the strength and character to line up and complete The Wall. To come so far and fall cannot happen.....
I know what you mean Conor - hills are essential for June; here in Essex we miss out big time, though our ParkRun has 3 loops round the castle which makes it the least flat place for miles around!!
Some great runs from Benjamin and Ian. Those B2B will really help the overall plan and get you over the 1,000 mile mark come start day - I've been adding my runs to a spreadsheet; colour coding miles to my footwear - is that very sad??
Nice to have some knowledge in the Bank though - as for tapering, I'm really not sure - probably take the entire week off beforehand and graze continuously!
As for last week - just did a couple of 4 mile cheeky runs before the Sunday/Monday B2B. Next run may well be our ParkRun - we'll see !!
