lynneem - Seems like you've got a good amount of fitness, a half shouldn't be such a big problem, build your long distances up slowly at a pace that you can/ could hold a conversation, no need to worry about intervals yet especially if your running lots of hills.
Price of races can be a deemed expensive, if you factor In everything like road closures policing etc it is understandable, have a look at the prices for ironman races. Price of trainers is another thing though always buy last years model.
B&T - hope the organisers can sort out the errors from the trail run. Sounds like you ran it well though.
Been doing more running again and keeping the swimming up, however managed to go for a 30 mile bike ride today, just had a look for new routes for next spring
A bit of caution for you all if your on a bike don't get going down long steep hills trying to break the speed record cause just around the corner there is another long steep hill that you have to go up.
Em - great race I'm sure a sub 60 is not far away.
BT - I've got a turbo trainer for those dangerous days and dark nights hard to do over an hour on it though, but great for speed training. Sounds like some nice 10k races.
Well after a long time of biking and a bit of swimming, with the darker nights training will be more running and swimming focused. Monday swam, Tuesday easy 5 mile run and tonight a 10 mile run swim tomorrow & run Friday won't be doing much over the weekend wife's b'day.
