Been out of touch for a few days - not at work as we're doing a loft conversion at home so have the week off (well, I'm not in the office - you know what I mean...) Just noticed comments about foxes, thought I'd mention that I saw two cross the road right in front of me in the centre of Cheltenham while I was running early on Sunday...

Still easing my way into 2011, have been out on all 4 days but only for a mile each day  planning to get stuck in again tomorrow.....

Dustin - it's the Gloucester marathon on 23 January. My first marathon, local to me (I'm in Tewkesbury). I think it's supposed to be ok, pretty small.

I was booked in to do Brighton in April but wife expecting baby within a week of that one so thought I'd better cancel rather than risk getting a phone call 24 miles in....!

Pre-run food  - normally a coffee does it for me, sometimes a banana. I'm usually out of the door well before 6 and within 15 minutes of getting up, so hunger pangs don't usually have time to kick in. If it's the weekend and all a bit more leisurely I normally have something before I go out. I remember one Saturday afternoon I went out after a plate of sausage, egg and chips, which turned out to be a big mistake.... I've learned from that experience.....
