Thanks for the info.Am getting it for my husband who is all into data and his training log. Sounds perfect! I'll stick to my Polar antiquity though.

I was thinking of getting the 305, that has been the one recommended to me so far. Is that right? Looking at all the pages on this thread, are there problems with it- briefly???

Have just found this thread- can anyone help? I am looking to buy the 305 but was wondering whether it would work in the USA as well as here? Can I buy one here & use it there & vice versa? I am new at this GPS lark, having only ever used a plain polar HRM till now.
