My club has a "out of hat " approach for those who can show rejection letters.
BRs approach sounds a good way of sharing it around. I like the deserving person idea, but it would have to be managed carefully. It would be easy to see it becoming a place for a mate of the committee. |

Tom, I don't think there are GFA places based on HM times. THe HM qualification gives entry to the AAA'as (or whatever Foster/Radcliffe make it) Champs which just happens to be a sub plot within the FLM.
Whilst there will always be exceptions, I feel it is reasonable to state teh normal distribution curve would stand up in the case of GFA. It's really not that difficult if people really want it and invest the time and money. |

Lots of medium hard runs as opposed to easy runs with very hard runs?
I am also interested by the trainig distance comparison. Whilst exact distance and pace does not really matter, I suspect many people fooled themselves how hard they were running. |

Two questions:
1) Did it start late? The TV programme indicated the competitors assembled for the start just before dawn? (What she was doing there I don't know) 2) Was that Sezz waving madly at the camera as teh Kiwi leader set off on the run? |

I think something like this:
M 1.5hr run T: 1 hr gym weights, 20 min swim + induction W: 1 hr gym weights, 30 min swim T: 30 mins treadmill/row/bike, 45 min spin, 20 min swim F 30 mins spin, 20 min swim, 45 mins run, 30 mins spin S REST S 1 hr run
All too itty bitty. |
