Terrific read and so true. I did not go with much of the "science" of the sport until relatively recently, we all learn the hard way eh? As a V50 aiming to run a sub 3hr someday it's good to read that I'm not away with the fairies, ran a sub 40min 10k a couple of weeks ago so could be on for Blackpool next April! |

Just want to add to all the positive comments. Fantastic day, iconic course, perfect weather, terrific support. So many volunteers!!! Thank you to the organisers for making this happen. |

Morning all, This is new! Not been on for a few days so just found the new format. Just read back, good luck Gobi, but he's now well gone. Have a good cycle LMH. Looks like it's a day in the garden, me too, power washing. Run later...chest now completely cleared and back in the zone. Gonna hit 20 miles today. Busy week just, picked up a new car and It was our 25th wedding anniversary on Thursday, still recovering... Just got my entry details for Windermere marathon in two weeks, start of another taper next week!!! |

Hey y'all,
Hi Blisters, I recognise your name...
Hope you are both feeling better Wabo and LMH.
Sevendaughters: Am looking at Preston as well, we'll see.
Terrific stats Gobi.
Well done on further weight loss Alex: easy, easy.
Bless your dear old Mum stickless.
So, just about back into the land of the runner here. 6.5 miles yesterday, 8.5 miles today. 10 days off has done the legs no favours! I've signed up for the Brathay Windermere Marathon, 20th May. Been reading the reports of Manchester on their thread. Some mixed reviews about the event, despite the weather. Not sorry I bottled it.

Very well done Alehouse, what a day, though I have not strayed from my back room! Just seen reports on local news that possibly only 4,500 turned up of the 8,000 that registered. So I wasn't the only one... Still no running for me...maybe tomorrow.
Well done NZC, despite!
Well done to everyone else for getting out there today, it's wild! |
