I'm sure after your 79.00 half marathon you'll be able to knock a considerable chunk off your 5k and 10k times. Sub 17 could even be possible for the 5k?
Best of luck with your last few weeks of training Roger, sounds like you are in great shape.
Out of interest, what are your new PBs now you've been through the bulk of your training?
I should say thanks to Ruth as I followed your carb loading plan on Saturday as a dress rehearsal for what I will eat for the two days prior to London and it worked really well.
Managed 1.21 at the Llanelli half in windy conditions which is a three minute pb for me and felt great in the last three miles.
Clocked 6.06, 6.06 and 5.55 for my last three which I was very happy with considering my 5k (parkrun) pb is 18.13, not sure how that happened!?
Congratulations Roger, great running
Hi Roger (and everyone else),
As in the last few years I seem to be a latecomer to the forums but having read through your posts it sounds like you are building up your training really well.
Just wanted to ask how you are going to approach your half on Sunday, are you running it at MP or flat out?
I'm also going for sub-3 this year in London
