Oops, posted on runners and supporters group instead of this one - just to say I ran straight past you....didn't even see you at all! Really sorry to miss you, but thanks so much for all the support. Hopefully next year I can be a supporter rather than a runner ;0)

I missed you all! No idea how - I was looking out too. Also missed my family...suspect I may have ran large parts with my eyes closed!

I found the day overwhelming - so many people running for personal reasons with pics of loved ones on their vests, crowd support which can only be described as amazing and people in running-defying costumes! That said, I was really demoralised on leaving Canary Wharf having missed everybody, found the weather hot (it can't win, I'd have complained if it was wet!) and found it very congested and had to just stop running many times as I couldn't get through, especially in the last mile. My chip time was 4hrs 58 mins so I am happy to be sub 5, but no PB for me today. VLM really is an amazing experience.

Even though I missed you, thanks anyway for all the support here - it made the build up a lot more enjoyable and felt a bit like I wasn't running alone ;0)

Picked up my number tonight :0)

I left a couple of gels and some cash for supplies in a small bag marked for group 3 - hope whoever is there in the morning finds it!

Thanks for the photo Running Rodent, helps to have an idea what to look for.

Being completely unphotogenic, I don't have any photos in my running kit - but hopefully I'll see some of you at the expo on Thurs - otherwise I'll be the random excited but knackered one at mile 17!

I have no idea whether I'm excited or nervous - seems a bit surreal at the moment...

Sorry to hear about those deferring. I'm massively undertrained for this marathon, which was always going to be the case but I've had a virus for the past week and haven't run since my last long run Saturday a week ago. Overall, I've done most of my long runs but very few of the shorter mid week ones, but as I deferred last year I have to do this one to I lose my place. I'm hoping to get out for a short run tomorrow to see how things go.

Best of luck to everyone for the last 2 weeks!
