I thought that the course was nice but the organisation at the start was very poor. 1) There was no start sign so no-one knew when they had crosssed the start line. 2) The runners had to go to the start linefrom the registration hall but would be then running in the direction from which they had just come which made getting through the runners that were already there very difficult. 3) It wasn't chipped which for a race of this size (450) was poor. I would have paid more for a chipped race. 4) There was no finish sign so you had to guess when to stop running and stop your watch. 5) Toilet faciolities were extremely poor and my partner nearly missed the race after having to stand in a queue for the ladies for 20 minutes. 6) At the start, the starter made some announcements but no-one could hear him - loud hailer needed. All these things are easily remedied. Organisers take note! Otherwise a lovely route. On the plus side for the organisation, well done for the technical shirts at the end instead of a goody bag!! I have too many cotton T-shirts and cheap medals so this was really appreciated, |
