I thought I had seen that it was a certified course somewhere and I do agree that Garmin is not 100% accurate but even so it's disappointing to find that I ran nearly 150 metres over.  The other conundrum is that garmin showed my pace for the whole race as 5:48 per k which, if this and the course distance were correct would have given me a time  of 58 minutes instead of 58:51 that the chip recorded so I still don't understand.  BTW, other 10k races that I have run on certified courses  show a distance of wither 10K or so close to it that it really doesn't matter so I am still a bit puzzled.

Anyway with a name like CarlosFandango you deserved to win! Can't they change the result?

Great race, well-organised and lots of space.  Great flat course good for PBs.  Did anyone think this course is a little long? Both last year's measurements and this put it longer than 10k - and I ran on the inside except for the relatively few places where you could run the tangents.  It would be interesting to hear others' comments on this - does anyone know if it is an accredited course?

Anyway, well done organisers for this event which had post race massage facilities, a bar and a barbecue.  This is the most enjoyable race I have run in.

Er, Will Morris...no need to be quite so acerbic is there?   I was just making genuine comments which were made without malice or bad intent.   As a slow 60 year old I genuinely found it hard to get through the throng of people and genuinely couldn't see the start sign. There really is no need to sarcastically say

"yeah walking past people is really difficult"

and

"the organisers should have the school rebuilt half a mile down the road to resolve this important issue"

THese sorts of comments are not helpful at all.

I am sure the organisers appreciate good and bad feedback which is why I did leave good comments about the race as well.

I thought that the course was nice but the organisation at the start was very poor.

1) There was no start sign so no-one knew when they had crosssed the start line.

2) The runners had to go to the start linefrom the registration hall  but would be then running in the direction from which they had just come which made getting through the runners that were already there very difficult.

3) It wasn't chipped which for a race of this size (450) was poor.  I would have paid more for a chipped race.

4) There was no finish sign so you had to guess when to stop running and stop your watch.

5) Toilet faciolities were extremely poor and my partner nearly missed the race after having to stand in a queue for the ladies for 20 minutes.

6) At the start, the starter made some announcements but no-one could hear him - loud hailer needed.

All these things are easily remedied.

Organisers take note! Otherwise a lovely route.

On the plus side for the organisation, well done for the technical shirts at the end instead of a goody bag!! I have too many cotton T-shirts and cheap medals so this was really appreciated,
