Thanks for taking the time to write such a thorough post. Achilles problems seem to be still so little understood by the professionals in whom we have to trust. I think in the past, a lot of elite athletes ended up having surgery (Gebreselassie for example), but I am not sure of the long term success rates of going with that treatment option. Hope you have a trouble free time ahead. |

Thought I would try an early morning run for a change. 7am start - did about an hour (garmin free). Ground frost and icy pavements made it a little difficult underfoot, but took it easy and used the grass verge wherever possible. Spectacular red and orange skies at daybreak made it a pleasure to be up and out. Off to the match later so good to get the day off to a good start. JT141 - battle on through - you will come out the other end stronger for it. Have a good weekend everyone |

7.8km lunchtime run around croxteth park - one of those days where it was hard to find any rhythm and it had to be ground out. Nevertheless, still enjoyable and good for the soul. Quite mild and felt quite overdressed after a couple of miles - could and should have shed a layer. Hope everyone is running well. |
