Mathschick, can you not even do the swim at outlaw half and at least have a little OW practice ready for the full? But I do understand that life can become more important than races. I am going to give it a go, even if the weather gods seem not to be on my side, I have even thought about sleeping in the car rather than camping.
I have had my pre race sports massage and even walked from the office to the station today. I have butchered my old running shoes so I can wear them for the run section on Sunday, handy that my big toe had created a hole in the mesh at the top of the shoe, I just made it a lot bigger.
Well done on completing such a challenging Tri DB.
I have done very little this week, due to the stupid hurt toe. I have followed the NHS Direct advice and taped the 2 toes together and have been resting as much as possible. So today I went for an OW swim and did 1900m, so feel ready for the swim in 2 weeks time, but a little unsure on the cycle and run.
The toe is getting better but I need more patience. Also been stressed as F in L in the nursing home has deteriorated and now on end of life care.
