I have cycled and now my legs are worn out. 35 miles all in Surrey for a change and one massive hill that needed 3 walks to get to the top. Having run yesterday is the most likely cause of it being harder to pedal today, so may think about changing my long run day to Friday to make the cycle on Sunday easier. My total training this week was just short of 9 hours.
MC, hot lemon and honey to ease the throat and Mikasa as Emma says fluids and rest.
JPGoodboy I reckon plastering is a form of cross training.
KJ that is news. You might be able to get a deal on a car in December if the salesman is desperate to reach their target. The last 2 cars I bought second hand were got in December, plus I have Mr Steady to help with negotiations, he can kick car tyres like a car dealer and talk the talk.
Mikasa, I am doing East Grinstead. Depending on where you will be you coming from the options include A3 up and then cut across, or you could nip up the M23 from Brighton area then turn off for East Grinstead rather than coming up to the M25. I use mainly A roads to get there, it is just as quick as using the motorway. This race usually fills up just after the new year, so get in quick.
Does sound terminal. That happened to our last one, I broke it by trying to wash too many towels at once after a holiday. A suggestion would be either a belt that drives the drum is failing, or the motor is struggling to work. I will try to remember and will ask Mr Steady the most practical man in the world, what he thinks when he gets in from work tonight.
I have just had to put the machine on again as the first wash still had soap and dirt on the stuff. It is about 7 years old so expecting it last much longer is a big ask.
