TR22...Today was as far as I run , I'm a what will be will be runner. After last year's 1st attempt I will be treating it as a 23 mile Marathon. The last hill is almost unrunnable to most and the final Mile or so is a throw yourself off a mountain type run!!!
The Malvern's are steeper I feel than this run but unfortunately the steepest hill comes after you have run 20+.... All the best..
Another drop in poster.. 2nd one after an amazing experience last year. For any of you in the worcs area I have just completed my training with a Malvern hill session. For those familiar, it was a town centre start through the Wyche cutting and up the beacon road to the top.... Back down, onto the Ledbury road and as far as the Malvern hills hotel. An unexpected hill climb along the back road towards West Malvern and back into town . Some lengthy hill road climbs and the obligatory stop at the Spring along the way. In total 15 miles but seemed a lot farther..Bath, coffee and a lardy cake to finish...Good luck to you all.
Stef.. Having done nessie 2 years ago, i would not worry too much about hills. There is one uphill section at around 18m if i remember, which to most including my run comes at the wrong time. The first part of this event is a very easy roller coaster downhill/flat stretch which takes you well towards half way.If you take it really easy in the first half then the hill should not be a problem...Its a fantastic event and im hoping to be there in 2016..
