Looking warm on the forecasts - what's the view on wearing some sort of hat on a hot day? Good idea or bad idea?
Have you not still got that carrier bag you wore in Manchester?
Waited an hour and a half last night in a group with several five year olds. Fortunately in a park/playground. Then a man in a white jumpsuit ran past carrying a torch. Then we went home. That really is all there is to it. The police motorcycles attracted a lot more attention from the children.
I then did a very slow five miles in very warm weather- legs felt very heavy. probably from all the waiting around!
Taking a not-very-excited 5 year old to see the torch in Cheltenham in a couple of hours. I was working in Swindon today and resisted a 400 metre walk to see it there, I was worried it wouldn't be the same twice!
Well run Jools. I am still too worried I would be running too slowly without the watch to look at...
Menna, recent PB paces for me are 6:50 (HM) and 6:35 (10k), so rather closer than the others, although I am confident (!) of getting 10k pace down to around 6:25 in the next few weeks. I am tempted to agree with Slokey, start at 6:10, can always speed up...
On reflection, I was too hard on myself after the parkrun yesterday. It wasn't a bad run in very soft conditions. Just having to travel so far to do it, I really wanted to get under 20 mins and a PB. I really shouldn't complain, I do appreciate being able to do a free timed 5k whenever I like!
