I got mine yesterday, so far I'm very impressed!  I plan to have my first run with it tomorrow so I've just spent time getting to know how to use the watch.  I have no issues at all with the bezel and so far, I am finding it easy to use once you learn how to get to things.........  Hope you have the same satisfaction with yours!!

I was thinking the same thing.......  Read every single review there.......  Just gone and bit the bullet and placed my order, it will be with me on Saturday!!  I hope I have done the right thing!  The way I see it, if it is rubbish, I can send it back to Amazon! (I made sure I bought it through them!!)

Good luck with your choice!!

I have a Garmin 305, it's a bit chunky but it's my favourite bit of equipment! I have had it just over a year now and it has accompanied me on all my runs ever since!! It does splits, average time, distance, heart rate, you can plan training schedules, follow routes, create routes on line and then upload them to the watch, race against a virtual runner and probably loads more that I have yet to discover!! Oh, you can use it for biking too, but I've never had the need!!

I'm not sure what other garmin watches offer but I'd never be without mine!!

I did research other GPS watches but I'd say Garmin all the way!! You won't be sorry!!

Thank you everybody for your replies..... After reading them I did go out today, only did 2.5 miles and I took my son's dog with me and my ipod...... The dog is a real pain in the butt to run with but I think she helped me because I had to concentrate so much on her!

I'll see how I go over the next two weeks as far as the half marathon goes BUT I have entered a 10 miler at the end of March so that is my goal now!

Thank you again!!

I have enjoyed running for the last 4 to 5 years now, but, for the last 6 months I have gradually got myself into a rut. I really am struggling with getting out there...... I had started a running programme for a half marathon (23 January 2012) but, due to a nasty cold, my training went down the pan along with hopes of doing the race..... Since I shifted the cold, I have not had the courage to get out there..... I have just had a week off work and could have got out but didn't... I feel fat, and un-enthusiastic......
