Cougie - thank you yes Mo Farah had 2 expressos before his olympic 10K. There does seem to be some scientific research that confirms the posiitve impact of caffiene on sports performance - hence my original question .
I have tried gels out and find them really difficult to digest - any other suggestions welcome .
Having read running with the Kenyans (!) I started to run with a forefront strike recently. This was not a problem until I started to up the intensity of my training sessions in prep for a marathon next spring.
I now find that I have what I think is plantar fasciatis.
So can anyone out there advise me - should I get my gait analysed / change my shoes ( currently run in a neutral with support shoe) / change myrunning style to heel strike ?
Not really sure what to do as forefront strike feels comfortable when I run and I have got used to it as my style now .
