Currently working in Leeds, so look forward to seeing you for the Leed-Barnsley leg. Whether I can join you in the run is up in the air at the moment, but one way or another I'll be there |

Alan - still not running, so still never done this race, but just read back to start of this thread, and the question about the 'old' tunnel. I ran through the Queensway tunnel in the mid-90's - probably 94 for the 60th anniversary of opening. Started on St John's Lane up to Lime St, down William Brown St and into tunnel. Can't remember much about route thru Birkenhead apart from sharp left exit from tunnel, down onto prom, and long drag to finish at New Brighton. May be back running before end of year, so see you in December  |

B & L - the official name was the RunLiverpool Marathon. Agree that most people, especiall non-runners, called it the Liverpool Marathon, or even the Mersey Marathon - especially those of us old enough to have done that in the 80's  |
