We recently chopped down some dead conifers on our side of the line to make veg patch bigger but they were acting as a kind of fence, hubby went round to next door to let them know what we were doing and put a temporary bamboo style fence there till we decide what to do. There is also an old fashioned low level wire fence running along the boundary.

Last weekend next door speaks to hubby moaning that he doesn't like, hubby tells him its temporary and we'll put a normal fence up once we've decided when we're going to chop the rest down. Apparently a normal fence is not good enough and not 'in keeping' with their garden. Hubby then pointed out that the boundary line is actually next door's... Needless to say this didn't go down too well! Neighbours!!! Thank goodness we live on the corner and only have one set!

Gosh Peter Colins, your neighbour sounds like he needs help!!!

I'l be doing this one. Completed it last year in a miserable 6hrs 30 after having a d & v bug the day before. Completely hit the wall at 10 miles and ended up walking/crawling the rest. Thought the organisation was superb and even in the more rural bits there was still drink stations and cheering. I definitely have unfinished business!!! Will be aiming for sub 5hr so nowhere near as quick as the rest of you

Also, what kind of idiot does a marathon as a birthday treat?

I did the Chester marathon to 'celebrate' my 30th

Still undecided about this one! Had to defer because of a foot injury but do feel £50 + booking fee is a little steep when people at the expo could buy for £40...

Well done ladies! It takes a lot of grit and determination to continue when you are tired and in pain and it is so easy to hop in the sweep car

Also well done to everyone else who completed it and fab news on the pb's!!!

Very sad to hear about the young lad passing away
