i had pain in my left heel recently after upping milage. had my feet checked by the physio, turns out i had flat feet, got sent to for custom orthotics/ shoe inserts, turns out heel pain was down to right leg being shorter, id recommend finding a decent physio, ask as many people as you can for recomendations though, there are some useless ones about. could be many other things, just my experience, when your standing does all your weight end up on sore heel
i can highly recomend calf guards, i used to have tight and achy calfs when i upped the milage for marathon training, i got some 2xu ones and they have made an amazing difference to me. im training for manchester marathon, 60 mile last week. no calf pain or aches. i rarely run without them now. no advice on the shoes sorry.
i ve always had aching in my calves when i up the milage for marathons, doesnt sound as intense as your suffrering, but i bought some 2xu calf gaurds and have noticed a massive improvement, i hardly take them off nowadays
